Blue Bayou

Daily Prompt: Local Color.
Imagine we lived in a world that’s all of a sudden devoid of color, but where you’re given the option to have just one object keep its original hue. Which object (and which color) would that be?

Blue blue blue
the color of my sky.
Blue blue blue
deepest in my sea.
Blue blue blue
is the iris of my eye.

My own Blue Bayou
is beyond all
that blue.

Masks for life

Daily Prompt: Masks off.
”We’re less than a week away from Halloween! If you had to design a costume that channeled your true, innermost self, what would that costume look like? Would you dare to wear it?”

My Mask is on
I don’t want to be seen
I only want to watch.

Dressed in my Mask
I can walk wherever
I want.

My favorite Mask
No one will know
I’m checking you now.

My number one Mask
for hiding myself
and not expose
my inner self.

My number two Lynx Mask
my lonely soul
My number three Elephant Mask
my social Mother Earth
All Masks for living my life.
Masks just for me
and my life.

Would you like a dog steak?

Daily prompt – Mouths Wide Shut.

I never say No thanks
to goat cheese and
fig marmalade.

I always say Yes please
to garlic
and broccoli.

I cannot resist
almonds
and nuts.

I will say No thanks
to whiskey
but Yes please
to a glass of wine
or two.

I hope I will never
have to answer the question:
Would you like
a dog steak?

Trassliga sladdar eller tankar

Skrivpuff: Trassel.

Trassel trassel i hörnan där
säg vilken sladd som passar här.

Tankarna bankar i huvudet mitt
vilka planer kan jag ha smitt.

Rödgrön eller blå
i alla fall inte grå.

Sladdarna testas
humöret frestas.

Den rödgröna var fel
den blå verkar hel.

Planen utvecklas riktigt bra
tankar måste man sannerligen ha.

Vi slets isär

Skrivpuff: Hänga ihop.

Vi hänger ihop
när hösten tvingar fram död
och allt blåser bort.

Vi hängde ihop
när tiden trängde på och
timglaset rann ut.

Vi slets isär när
åldern bytte årstid vid
livets sista suck.
